Gerard and I are happy to have known Johnny. We shared many Saint Patty's Day celebrations together. He was a great man, a wonderful father and husband. He will be greatly missed by all. Rest in peace our friend.

John was the best baseball coach I ever had. My dad and I would see him sometimes walking their dog at night and would have the best conversations with him. We lost touch for many years but after college I ran into John on one of his late night walks. We wanted to hear all about what I've been up to. The conversation ended with him telling me, "You've come along way since the baseball field my old chap!" That made my night. Great man and will always be remembered!

John was also my landlord. But more than that -- a great guy, a good father. I will miss him.
