Obituary of Paul F. Hertgen
Paul F. Hertgen, 79, of Manchester passed Wednesday, July 11, 2012 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Born in Brooklyn, NY Paul moved to Staten Island where he and his wife Margot rasied their 5 children. Mr. Hertgen was a coach and on the Board of Governor of the West Shore Little League of Staten Island. Mr. Hertgen worked as an Architect for the Port Authority of NY and NJ, and upon his retirement he moved to Manchester, NJ. He was an US Army Veteran of the Korean War, and belonged to the American Legion. Mr. Hertgen was predeceased by his wife Margot Hertgen in 2004, and a brother Charles Hertgen. Surviving are his 3 sons, Paul, Thomas and Christopher Hertgen, 2 daughters Karen Wizna, and Rosemarie Young, sister Sylvia Iafe, and 7 grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday 9:00AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Colts Neck. Interment will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Hertgen's memory to The Michael J.
