Obituary of Dominick Fiorillo
Dominick Fiorillo, a long time resident of Aberdeen, NJ passed away on April 7, 2013 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel with his family by his side. He was 89 years old. Mr. Fiorillo was born in New York City in 1923 to John and Josephine Fiorillo, immigrant parents from the Calabria region of Italy. As a young man, Mr. Fiorillo was a member of the Gilbert & Sullivan Players in Brooklyn, NY performing in such plays as The Pirates of Penzance, Die Fledermaus, The Gondoliers, and The Mikado. He retired from the New York Cotton Exchange in 1989 where he had worked for 40 years. During his retirement years, he and his wife enjoyed travelling and spending time at the Keyport Senior Center where he was a member of the chorus until last year. He is survived by Dorothy Gomes Fiorillo, his wife of 60 years; his son John and his wife Diane; his 2 daughters Barbara Elieff and her husband Jim and Elizabeth Mauro and her husband Sam; twin grandchildren Nadia and Ian Elieff; his sister Phyllis Fives and many nieces and nephews. His other sister, Mary Catinello predeceased him. Visitation will be held at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00PM and Wednesday from 10:00AM until the time of the service at 11:30AM. Entombment will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Keyport Senior Center (Payable to: KSCAC) 110 Second Street, Keyport, NJ 07735.
