Obituary of Louis F. Talerico
Veteran - U.S.Army World War II Louis F. Talerico, 95, of Howell, passed away on Thursday evening February 28, 2013. Born in Hepzibah, West Virginia, he lived in the Bensonhurst neighborhood of Brooklyn before moving to Howell 7 years ago. Louis was a veteran of the U.S.Army, having served in the European Theatre of Operations, where he earned a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 2322 in Tannserville, N.Y. Prior to his retirement, he was a Supervisor for ADT fire and burglar alarms in N.Y.C. He was a 65 year member of Local 3 – IBEW in Queens, N.Y. Mr. Talerico was also the founder of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Athletic Association in Brooklyn and was an avid Mets and Jets fan. He was a loving and beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth in 2006, and by three sisters. He is survived by his sons Richard and his wife Linda, Robert and his wife Amelia, and Ronald and his wife Patricia, by his daughter Elizabeth and her husband Ronald Giampiccolo, by his sister Mary Donato, and by his six grandchildren Jennifer, Matthew, Jessica, Lauren, Steven and Nicholas. Visitation will be on Saturday from, 7 to 9 PM and again on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 – South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday March 4, 2013 at St. Catharines R.C. Church 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel, at 10:00 AM. Interment will then follow at the Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro, NJ.
