Daniel J. Murphy, 93, of Morganville, NJ, died on Thursday 12/4/2008 at Bayshore Community Hospital, in Holmdel. Mr. Murphy had been a Bus Operator for the N.Y.C.Transit Authority for 28 years, retiring in 1976. He was a former member of the N.Y. National Guard. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 11349 - St. Benedicts Church in Holmdel NJ. Mr. Murphy was born in Brooklyn NY, and lived in the Arden heights of Staten Island before moving to Morganville, NJ 11 years ago. He was predeceased by his wife Anna Marie in 1998, and two sisters Mary Piro and Theresa Vlasi. Surviving are four daughters and their husbands Margaret AND Thomas Magnani, Josephine and Robert Agresta, Patricia and Joel Liptzin, and Marie and Ben Rosenberg, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
