Obituary of Rudolph H Schellenberger
Veteran - Army Air Force - World War II Rudolph H. Schellenberger, 87, of Colts Neck entered eternal life on Friday March 7th, 2014. Born in New York City, he was a Veteran of the Army Air Force during World War II and was a graduate of Fordham Prep, and Fordham University. Mr. Schellenberger was a CPA. Over the years he worked for the Penn Central Corp., International Paper Co., the M.W.Kellog Company, Haskins and Sells, and prior to retirement in 1999 he was the V.P. of Auditing for Continental Grain in New York City. Mr. Schellenberger travelled the world multiple times. He was a parishioner of St. Marys' R.C.Church in Colts Neck, where he was an Usher and a Eucharistic Minister, and he coached Baseball for the Colts Neck Sports Foundation. He played the Trombone and was a member of the Colts Neck Community Band, the Eatontown Community Band, and the Rumson Community Band. He enjoyed Boating and Golf, and was a devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather. Predeceased by a daughter, the late Marianne Keenan, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anna May (nee Cowen), his sons Carl and his wife Suzanne, Erich and his wife Diana, Rudolph and his wife Mary, Kurt and his wife Kim, his daughters Carol Ann Aerts and her husband Jules, Suzanne Sammis and her husband Robert, and Diane Piniella and her husband Ray, and by his 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 – South Holmdel Road, Holmdel on Monday March 10, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 1 – Phalanx Road ( at Route 34) Colts Neck, NJ. Interment will then follow at the Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Mary's Social Concerns Fund, One – Phalanx Road, Colts Neck, N.J. 07722
