Obituary of Roussos Abadiotakis
Roussos Abadiotakis passed away at the age of 81 on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.
Born on July 20, 1937 in Spiliaria, Kidonias Hania, Crete, in Greece, he was the second youngest of seven siblings. Following in his older brother’s footsteps, Roussos came to New York as a young man, where he began a career as a carpenter. He later moved on to working in real estate, starting his own small firm, before retiring to Colts Neck to build a farm that reminded him of his childhood in Greece. He has spent the last nine years where he was most comfortable, his hands in the soil, tending to his animals and his garden, all the while selflessly providing for his family. He will forever be remembered in our hearts.
Roussos is predeceased by his brothers: John, Manoli, Stefano, and Nick.
Surviving are his loving wife, Brenda; his six children and their spouses: Athena, John and Jackie, Stefan, Christian and Rowena, Helen, and Angela; his five grandchildren: Alexander, Austin, Ashley, Alyssa, and Michael; his two siblings George and Maria; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will take place on Monday, June 17th, from 6-9PM at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733.
