So sad to learn that someone who brought so many smiles to the faces of all who knew him has passed from our midst. However, for me, the smiles, the laughs, the ‘sweet’ memories of the times we shared with Don and Brenda as our neighbors and friends in Lakeridge remains indelible in my memory. The Nadlers wish peace to the Johnsons.

We are so sorry that we cannot make it to Don’s farewell. We met Don and Brenda in 2005 when we both purchased units at the Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid. Little did we know then that we would make friends with two of the most wonderful people we have ever known. Since 2005 we have spent an entire week nearly every 6 weeks with them. That’s more than we meet with family! Because of that Don and Brenda have become a part of our family and we love them with with all our hearts. So many memories, so much laughter, and so, so much joy knowing both Don and Brenda. Don may have been a pilot but although he excelled at that, he should have been a standup comic. He was a natural. Dave has always thought of Don as a best friend. We will miss him so much that it will hurt for the rest of our lives.

One out of so many memories with Uncle Don was he asked me would you like my card ? I said yes I would liked to have your card. He pulls his card holder out and hands me a card and I looked at it thinking whats it going to say which business will it be for and as Im looking at the card Uncle Don cracking up laughing because the look on my face I'm sure was priceless his card said: My Card” that was so funny . I made a ton of copies and til this day I hand it out pulling the prank he taught me on others making them laugh as he made me laugh. Love you Uncle Don!

Dear Uncle,
You were so easy to like. You had such an unassuming presence, a genuine love of people, a gift for humor, and best of all, you were a nice guy.
What I will miss the most are our phone calls. These conversations always seemed to support our family bond through common interests.
You were not only an uncle but also a best friend. So in a way, I feel like I have lost two people.
You have given all of us some fun memories and laughs. You will always be in our hearts.
