Ernest Tricomi

Obituary of Ernest Santo Tricomi

Ernest S. Tricomi, 92, of Jackson, passed away on 2/15/19. He was born in NYC ,NY on April 13th 1926 to the late Joseph and Josephine (Russo) Tricomi.

Ernest grew up in the Arthur Avenue section of the Bronx, and proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II. After his time in the military, he continued his life in the Bronx, where he worked as a refrigeration mechanic and later became a building Superintendent. After retiring from being a Superintendent, he relocated to Middletown NY where he continued to work as a school bus driver for Mid City Transit until he was 84 years old.

Between his jobs and raising a family, he found ways to enjoy life to the fullest. He was a big stereo buff and loved listening to big band and classical music. He was always buying new equipment, in his continuous efforts to make his stereo system sound as if the music was playing live in his living room.

He also loved utilizing his God given gift/skill of building customized furniture, enjoyed cooking, had a great taste in wine and enjoyed watching football on Sundays, cheering for his Cowboys. Most of all however, Ernest loved spending time with his wife, and his family.

He is predeceased by his loving wife Margaret (Board) Tricomi and his two sisters: Angela (Tricomi) Board and Pauline (Tricomi) Neri.

Surviving are his three children: Elaine and her husband Jack Maresca of Middletown, NY., Joseph and wife Sharon Tricomi of Little River, SC., and Ernest and wife Tina Tricomi of Marlboro NJ; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother Santo Tricomi and wife Chris as well as many of his loving nieces and nephews.
