Obituary of Joseph E. Parisi, Jr.

Joseph E. Parisi, Jr., age 66, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Joseph and his wife moved to Holmdel in 2001.

Joseph had many admirable qualities, but foremost was his unyielding generosity and kindness to those around him, especially towards his family and close friends. Joseph will be remembered for his quick sense of humor and wit that brought laughter and relief through moments both joyous and difficult. 

A strong supporter of St. Jude Hospital, Joseph and his family are parishioners of the Church of St. Catharine in Holmdel. He enjoyed deep-sea fishing, golfing, watching football (himself, a former defensive back for the University of South Carolina), and above all spending time with his family.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Felicia Parisi. He is survived by his loving wife Diane, son Joseph and his wife Karen of Middletown, NJ, son Nicholas and Emma of New York, N.Y., sister Angela Scalice and her husband Frank, brother Michael Parisi, brother Pasquale Parisi and his wife Sharon, sister Catherine Marcus and her husband Jeffrey, granddaughters Cora and Nina Parisi, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 5th from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at Holmdel Funeral Home, located at 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on 9:15 AM Wednesday at the Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will then follow at the Holmdel Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel.
