Obituary of Marlene Spector Levine

Marlene Spector Levine, 86, of Hazlet and Middletown NJ, passed away on January 30, 2019.

Marlene is the beloved wife of Richard Levine (deceased), loving mother of Michael Levine (deceased), Steven Levine, David Levine and his wife, Jodi Palinkas, and Matthew Levine and his partner Sonia Smith. She is the proud grandmother of Jessie Patton-Levine and her husband Brian Diggs, Sam Levine, and Gideon Levine and loving great-grandmother of Ruby Diggs. She is also the loving sister of Jacki Spector and Gabriel Spector (deceased).

For many years Marlene and her husband produced the annual Middletown Folk Festival in Middletown NJ. Marlene had many passions, including architecture, American bungalow style, poetry recitation, and a lifelong love for her hometown of Bethlehem Pennsylvania. She leaves behind a loving family and many loving friends.

A memorial service will be held for Marlene at Congregation B'nai Israel in Rumson New Jersey on Sunday, February 3, at 2:30 pm, followed by the burial. The family will sit shiva at Congregation B'nai Israel in Rumson New Jersey immediately following the burial, from 4 to 8 pm, with a minyan service at 7pm.
