Dear Ginger and Family, Today I read a comment made about Robert Mondavi, who also died recently. It struck me that the tribute to Mondavi could just as easily applied to fellow wine-maker Giovanni/John Cifelli. It read: "I had the honor of working at Mondavi many years ago and he showed me nothing but kindness and passion for his art (both wine and marketing). His greatest gift might not have been his wine, but rather his ability to verbalize his love of wine and its lifestyle. Like many of the greatest musical artists, his might not have been the most polished of songs in a glass but they were borne of good intentions and light, which created emotional connections - a tuning fork for our souls.
