Obituary of Margaret E Menges
Margaret Elizabeth Deacon Menges, 54, passed away Sun., Oct. 28, 2012 at home surrounded by family. Born in Queens, Margaret was raised in Holmdel, where she also raised her own children. Graduate of St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel. Communicate of St. Catharine's R.C. Church, she devoted many years as a religious education teacher, member of the baptismal team, and communications committee. Employed as COO of Project Expeditors. Enthusiastic team mom, she loved the theatre, gardening and long days at the beach. Margaret was predeceased by her parents Kitty and Tom Deacon and two brothers, Garrett and James. Cherished wife of David Menges, loving and devoted mother to David Trevor and companion Danielle Lengyel, Kimberly Rae and companion Daniel Wray, and Jacqueline Marie. Also survived by brother Thomas Deacon, Fort Plain NY, sister and brother-in-law Maureen and Tom Lacey, Harvard MA, sister Kathleen O'Brien, New Egypt and sister and brother-in-law Annmarie and Jay Wood, Holmdel. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Raymond and Mary Menges, Tinton Falls, Carol and Thomas Marotta, DeBary FL, Kathy and James McGrogan, Union Beach, Edward and Vicki Menges, AZ, Gail Gregg, Wantage, Robert and Colleen Menges, Union Beach, Louis and Carol Menges, Holmdel, 25 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held at the Holmdel Funeral Home, Fri. Nov. 2, 2012 from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral mass will be held at St. Catharine's Church, Sat. Nov. 3, 2012 at 9:15am. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of her mother, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
