Obituary of Virginia Marie Daly

Virginia Marie Daly, of Holmdel passed away peacefully at home following a short illness on Monday, August 24, 2015. Virginia grew up in Newark, NJ and graduated from St. Elizabeth's College in College Station, NJ. She taught for many years at Raritan High School in Hazlet, NJ. Mrs. Daly was a parishioner at St. Catharine Parish in Holmdel, NJ. She had a full and active life with a strong devotion to family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Thomas McDonough of Bloomfield, NJ. She is survived by her husband William, of 63 years, her daughter Virginia Kania and her husband Joseph of Holmdel, daughter Margaret Webster and her husband John of Mount Laurel, NJ, son William Daly and his wife Susan of Barrington, IL, and son Thomas Daly and his wife Barbara of Holmdel, NJ, along with 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday 9:15AM at St. Catharine R.C. Church 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will be in St. Gabriel Cemetery, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
