Obituary of Patricia Attanasio
Patricia Attanasio, 84, of Wall Township, passed away peacefully, on Wed, December 12th with her family at her side.
Known as Patsy to her friends and family, she was born in Philadelphia, PA. She spent her teen years in Denver, Co. where she was the 1st female Captain of the Civil Air Patrol. Becoming a stewardess for American Airlines brought her to NYC, where she met a handsome flight engineer, the love of her life and husband, Arthur.
Pat enjoyed traveling, bingo and weekly card games with family and friends. A constant cheerleader at her children's various sports and activities, she also volunteered at church, school and the local hospital. She loved the holidays, and any time spent with her "family", including her friends, children's friends, neighbors and anyone who entered her home. There was always room for one more.
She and Art would retire to Las Vegas and enjoy fun and great weather for many years. They returned to the East Coast to be close to family again, settling in Sea Girt, NJ.
In their later years, she and Art spent many a night watching their favorite sitcoms and world news, and loved to eat out. Her children and grandchildren were the apples of her eye.
She is survived by Arthur, her husband of 60 years, five children: Michael and his wife Linda Attanasio of Freehold, Matthew Attanasio of Manasquan, Christopher and his wife Tedi Anne of Las Vegas, Paula Attanasio of Farmingdale, and Nancy and her husband Patrick Burns of Colts Neck; her sister Marie Civitano; and six loving grandchildren: Samantha, Olivia, Loriana, Erica, Nia, and Nick. She is predeceased by her parents, Mary and Nick Jamison, and a sister, Christine.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 18 at 10:30 AM at St. Gabriel's Historic Church 549 County Rd 520, Marlboro Township, NJ 07746, followed by entombment at St. Gabriel's Cemetery & Mausoleum.
