Vicki (Viola) Albanese passed away on Tuesday, October 30th at home unexpectedly. Vicki was the loving wife of Gerry Albanese for sixty-five years and the beloved mother to seven children. She adored and loved her 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Vicki’s priority was taking care of her family. As a mom, she was supportive and a great listener as well as a lot of fun—whether it was competing in a game of jacks, playing cards, or teasing family members at the dinner table. She was a wonderful cook who made holidays and family celebrations special. Christmas Eve was a not to be missed celebration. She loved movies and in particular enjoyed the movies from the 40’s especially anything with John Wayne. She is survived by her three sons: Ronald and Teena Albanese, Gerard and Kathleen Albanese, and Christopher and Jennifer Albanese; and four daughters: Mina Albanese, Susan Thunberg, Veronica and Donald Dahl, and Marian and Mark Tryba. Visitation will be held Monday, November 5th from 4- 7pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, 9:15am at St. Catharine R.C. Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will be in St. Gabriel Cemetery, Marlboro.
