Robert H. Smith, 100, passed away in Pooler, Georgia on October 11, 2018 at the age of 100 years. He was born in Montgomery, New York in 1918. Robert was a great Patriot, and an extremely proud Veteran of the United States Navy, where he held the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He served in the Navy for many years as his career. He is survived by his son Douglas of Port Wentworth, Georgia, by his daughter Isabel and her husband Robert Amling of Farmingdale, N.J., and by his grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary R.C. Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck, N.J. 07722. Entombment will then follow at the Rose Hills Memorial park Mausoleum, 100 Mill Street, Putnam Valley, N.Y.
