Obituary of Catherine Colucio Dragonette
Catherine Colucio Dragonette was born June 4, 1927 and passed away on July 7, 2018 at the age of 91.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived there for 45 years and then moved to Little Silver, NJ. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, John. Devoted mother to Donna Dragonette and Bennett Gewirtz, Tom Dragonette, June and Bill Sustick. Loving grandmother to Mallory, Amanda, Gabe and Kate. She was predeceased by her brother Pete. She is survived by her sister Ann Marie, brother-in-law Carl, sister-in-law Ann and many nieces and nephews.
Catherine worked for the United States Army at Fort Monmouth for 10 years retiring in 1988. She was a Riverview Medical Center volunteer for 25 years and volunteered for many years at St. Anthony’s Padua Church in Red Bank in the after school program. She was an amazing Italian cook who loved to feed her family and friends. During retirement, she and her husband John traveled extensively throughout Italy each year, visiting friends they had made through the years and revisiting the places they loved. Although her greatest joy was spending time with her family creating wonderful memories for all of us to cherish.
Visitation Tuesday, July 10th, 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Funeral Mass Wednesday, July 11th at 10:00 am at St. Anthony’s of Padua Church, 121 Bridge Avenue, Red Bank. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY.
