Obituary of Richard Deuel
Richard “Skip” Deuel, 80, of Colts Neck passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 19th, 2018. Born in Metuchen, Skip lived there and in Edison for years before moving to Pittstown, NJ for 15 years then Howell, NJ for 5 years, then residing in Colts Neck. He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps.
Skip was a member of the Elks Lodge # 1914 in Metuchen, Elks Lodge # 2434 in Pittstown, and Sheet Metal Workers Local 27. He was an avid hunter. Skip loved his family and enjoyed the time that he was able to be with them.
Skip is predeceased by his wife Carol A. Deuel. He is survived by his sons Glenn R. and his wife Corinne of Mooresville, NC., and Bruce G. Deuel; by his daughters and their husbands Denise A. Skudera and her husband Kevin of Colts Neck, and Lisa A. Brown and her husband Craig of Spotswood; by his grandchildren Glenn G., Erin, Kelsey, Karleigh, Samantha, Kaitlyn, Gabrielle, Lexi, and Hanna and his brothers Robert and wife Barbara of FL and Russell of Metuchen NJ.
Skip is also predeceased by his second wife Lois Deuel. He is also survived by John, his wife Christine Darrah and family, and Donna, her husband Charlie Daniels and family.
Visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel on Monday, June 25th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday, at 10:00 A.M and will proceed to the Holmdel Mausoleum where a committal service and U.S.Marine Corps Honor Service will be conducted.
