Obituary of Esperanza Ventosa De Leon
Mrs. Esperanza Ventosa De Leon, 76, of Matawan passed away on Saturday, June 9th, 2018. Born in the Philippines, she lived in Jersey City and then Old Bridge/Matawan for many years. Prior to her retirement, she was a Comptroller and Certified Public Accountant for AT&T.
She was a member of the Filipiniana Society, Inc. Over the course of her career, she was the recipient of many awards. In 1961 she received the Philippine Institute of Accountant’s Merit Award; in 1997 the Network Systems QTE Golden Thread Award from AT&T; and in 1990, the AT&T OS Team Award.
Mrs. De Leon is predeceased by her parents, Aurelio and Leticia Ventosa; and her brother, Angel Ventosa.
She is survived by her husband, Moises F. De Leon; her sons, Philip M. and Michael A. De Leon; her granddaughter,Guinevere De Leon; and her 6 sisters.
Visitation will be on Wednesday June 13th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday June 14th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Benedict’s R.C. Church 165 Bethany Rd, Holmdel. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ.
