Benona L. Breedlove, 89, of Holmdel passed away on Wednesday, May 23rd 2018 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Born in Indianapolis, IN. she lived in Holmdel for many years. She was a parishioner of St. Catharine R.C. Church in Holmdel. After an early career as a singer on stage and the radio, Mrs. Breedlove was a homemaker. When not busy raising her six children, she loved ceramics, gardening, and was an avid reader. Always generous with her time, she also was a great lover of animals and donated to many charitable causes. She enjoyed the times spent with her family and her 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband Robert in 1999, by her daughter Stacey in 2016, and by her brother Daniel Kloess. Surviving are her sons Jeffrey of Colts Neck, and Christopher of No. Carolina, her daughters Cheryl Promin of Parlin, Susan Pantano of Farmingdale, and Robin Brown of No. Carolina, by her sister Sandy Skinner of Indianapolis, IN., and by her 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, May 31st at 9:15 A.M. at St. Catharine R.C. Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will then follow at the Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of traditional remembrances, donations may be made in her honor to The Arc (www.thearc.org).
