Mary Riordan of Colts Neck passed away on April 30, 2018 at the age of 97 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jersey City, Mary began her career at St. Peter’s Preparatory School where she worked for 45 years. Mary was very active and belonged to many organizations and clubs. She was a member of St. Josephs Church in Carteret; where she served as a Eucharist Minister and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. After retiring, Mary spent most of her days babysitting for family and friends; which suited her so well since she loved children. Mary was a social butterfly who loved nothing more then being around family and friends. Predeceased by her husband John and son, Jack. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Robert Fiore, daughter in law Kristine Meyer, six grandchildren, Kelly, Rob, Tara, Erin, Jackie, Lauren and three great-grandchildren Joseph, Lucy and Siena. A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Thursday, May 3rd from 4 pm to 8 pm at Holmdel Funeral Home. Her funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 4th at 10:30 am at St. Gabriel’s in Marlboro, where she currently was a parishioner.
