Obituary of Helen Redling
Helen Redling 79, of Toms River passed away on Tuesday, May 1st at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation in Shrewsbury.
Helen was born in New York City, following high school she immediately started her career working for Guardian Life as a purchasing agent.
Helen was a world traveler, from Islands to Alaska. She loved to crochet afghan blankets, spending time in the sun, and listening to German music. German music also brought her and her late husband, John together when they met at a dance in Manhattan. She also loved playing cards with her grandchildren, her favorite game being War.
Helen is predeceased by her husband John Redling.
She is survived by her daughter, Heidi O’Rourke and her husband Stephen, Holmdel; her son, John Redling Jr., Queens; her grandchildren Stephen, Kevin, Justin, Kimberly, and Kerry; and her sister, Anna Hidi.
A Mass of the Christian burial will take place of Thursday, May 3rd 10am at St. Benedict’s R.C. Church, 165 Bethany Rd, Holmdel. Interment to follow at Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery in Flushing, Queens.
