Obituary of Lonnie Zaslow
Lonnie Zaslow, D.D.S., of Holmdel, passed away peacefully at the age of 85.
Lonnie was born on November 27, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA to Herschel and Fannie Zaslow. Lonnie served in the US Navy during the Korean War. After serving, Lonnie graduated from Temple University Dental School where he met his bride, Harriet. The two settled in Holmdel, New Jersey where they raised their two children.
Lonnie loved to sail, bike, ski and travel. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Lonnie made life an adventure for those around him.
Lonnie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Harriet Zaslow and their two children Heidi Zaslow and Daryl Zaslow and their spouses, Scott Silar and Desiree Zaslow, respectively. Lonnie leaves behind his grandson, Luke Zaslow, and his four granddaughters, Jordan Silar, Payton Silar, Dylan Silar and Sophia Zaslow.
A graveside funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, April 24th at Mount Sinai Cemetery, 361 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ at 1:00 pm. The family will sit shiva until 8:00 pm following the service at the home of Daryl and Desiree Zaslow, 19 Seven Oaks Drive, Holmdel, New Jersey and on Wednesday, April 25th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
