William F. Daly, 91, of Holmdel died on Wednesday March 28th at his home. Mr. Daly was born in Jersey City, graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, PA on the GI Bill and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. He was in sales at 3M Corporation in the printing products division. He was a devout Catholic and a member of The Church of St. Catharine in Holmdel. Both he and his wife Virginia enjoyed spending time in Jekyll Island, Georgia and at their cottage in Chatham, Cape Cod. He enjoyed golfing, and spending time with his loving family. He will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Daly is predeceased by his wife, Virginia. He is survived by his sons, William and his wife Sue of Chicago, Thomas and his wife Barbara of Holmdel, his daughters, Virginia and her husband Joseph Kania, of Holmdel, and Margaret and her husband John Webster of Mt. Laurel. Eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and his brother Peter Daly, Oregon. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 27th from 4pm to 7pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, 9:15 am April 28th at The Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, Marlboro.
