Rolf E. Linder, 88 of Wall, passed away on Saturday, March 3rd at Sunnyside Manor. Mr. Linder was a graduate of Upsala College, East Orange. He became a Special Products Chemist and had worked for Fisher Scientific, Paramus. Following his retirement, he worked for ten years for the Paramus Board of Education, managing and instructing the students in their science courses. He was extremely proud of his Swedish background and enjoyed the many traditions of his heritage and family. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Tenafly, The Reformed Church on the Hill, Cresskill and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Isle of Palms, SC. Mr. Linder was a person with many passions and talents, particularly in the arts, he had a passion as a pianist, composer, enjoyed photography, wrote poetry and had an extensive stamp collection. Mr. Linder served his country honorably in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict. Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Carol Linder; their daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Tom Waldron, Holmdel, NJ; a brother Armand and his wife Florence Linder, Bolton, CT; and his two grandsons, Benjamin and Nathaniel Waldron. Memorial Service will be held on March 24th at 11 AM at the United Church of Christ, 40 Main Street, Holmdel NJ.
