Frieda Goldberg, age 80, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died on Monday, February 19th at her home, surrounded by family. Originally from Poland and, later, Israel, Frieda has been a resident of Holmdel, NJ since 1985. Prior to relocating to Holmdel, Frieda lived in New York, NY, Queens, NY and Aberdeen, NJ. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 49 years, Fred Goldberg, her daughter, Joy, Joy’s husband, Jeremy Poppers, and their two children, Alyssa and Joshua, who were the light of Frieda’s life. Frieda will best be remembered for her kind heart and generous spirit, her love of cooking and entertaining, the loving and happy home she created for her family and her courage in battling a long-standing illness. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 21st at 1:30 pm at Mount Sinai Cemetery in Morganville, New Jersey.
