Mary T. Basile, 86, formerly of Holmdel and Ocean Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Mary was born in Jersey City and raised in Hoboken where she attended Our Lady of Grace Elementary and High School. Mary was a floor model for Saks Fifth Avenue. She met her husband of 33 years, Joseph John Basile of Jersey City, at the butcher shop where he worked at in Hoboken. As she raised her four kids, she worked in real estate. Mary enjoyed bocce, golf, bridge and tennis. Mary joins in heaven her husband Joseph J. Basile and is survived by her children Lea and her husband Mike, Christina, Elisa and her husband Rick, Joseph, and her four grandchildren, David and his wife Hahna, Greg, Joelle, and Shannen and two great grandchildren, Azalea and Koa. Visitation is on Saturday, September 23, at 10:00 AM, with mass following at 11:00 am at St. Anselm’s Church, 1028 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, 07712.
