Eileen Samson, 93, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017. Eileen was born March 1, 1924 to her parents, Minnie and Claus Arp in Papillion, Nebraska. She was one of four children, born and raised on a farm in Papillion that has been in the family since 1875. Eileen met the love of her life, George Samson, in the spring of 1942. They were married a year later. At the end of World War II, they moved to Brooklyn, New York where they began raising their three sons. She was a devoted, caring wife and mother. She volunteered for many church activities. She was a gifted cook and instilled her passion to her sons. She moved to Hillsdale, New Jersey in 1953; River Vale, New Jersey in 1959 and Middletown, New Jersey in 1998. She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years; her brother, Marvin and her sister, Dorothy. She is survived by her three sons George Samson Jr. and his wife Joan, of Toms River, New Jersey; Ronald Samson and his wife Donna, of Colts Neck, New Jersey and Robert Samson and his wife Linda, of Voorheesville, New York; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be given in her name to Lincroft Presbyterian Church, 270 Everett Road, Lincroft, New Jersey 07738. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. She will be buried after a private ceremony in the family plot in Fairview Cemetery in Middletown, New Jersey.
