Obituary of Robert Hanna
Bob Hanna, formerly of Holmdel & Colts Neck, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26th, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and followed the Jesuits throughout his years at Brooklyn Prep and St. Peter’s College. He enjoyed a successful 25-year career with Reynolds Metals as a Marketing Executive. Upon retirement, he joined his wife, Adelaide, in their real estate brokerage firm, Adelaide Hanna Realtors, Colts Neck, where Bob achieved great success through his sales talents, endearing charm and wit.
Bob’s greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His enduring legacy will be the very deep love and devotion he had for his family! Bob was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary’s RC Church, Colts Neck.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alice and Jack Hanna, his brother, John Hanna, as well as sisters, Rita Sullivan, Alice Miller, and Maureen Hanna. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years. Adelaide Hanna; his daughters, Adelaide “Heidi” and her husband, John Moran, Suzanne Hanna and her partner Maggie Seaman, and his son Robert Hanna, Jr., all of Colts Neck. Along with his children, his grandchildren were the lights of his life: John, Conor, Jacqueline and Caroline Moran and Matthew and Lauren Hanna. In addition, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Kathe Hanna, Breezy Point, NY and many loving nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
Visitation Thursday, March 30th, 3 to 8 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 31st, 10:30 am, St. Mary’s RC Church, Colts Neck.
