Obituary of Lanore M Fessler
Lanore Fessler, 90, Tinton Falls (formerly of Colts Neck) passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 with family around her. Born and raised in West Chicago, Illinois, she graduated from West Chicago County High School and worked in the War Ordinance Department while waiting for her high school sweetheart, George, to return home from the war. After they married, George and Lanore moved to New Jersey and eventually settled in Colts Neck in 1962 where they lived until 2011. She was a founding member of the Colts Neck Woman’s Club and proudly served as their President from 1966-1968 and again from 1984-1985.
Lanore loved many things like birds, wildflowers and crossword puzzles; but nothing more than her family. She was extremely proud of her three children – Susan Frank (New Jersey), Joan Fenza (Pennsylvania) and Michael Fessler (Maryland); her grandchildren – Kimberly (New Jersey), Christopher (Texas), Luke (New Jersey), Wesley (New Jersey), Erik (Virginia) and Andrew (Maryland); and her three great-grandsons – Tyler (New Jersey), and Brenden and Sean (Texas). She taught everyone around her to laugh hard and love harder.
Lanore was predeceased by her mother and father, Wes and Mildred IntHout; her twin sister Kay; and her older brother Pat. She leaves behind George, her husband of over 70 years, and her beloved cat Annie.
Anyone who ever crossed paths with Lanore, no matter how briefly, will never forget her.
