Obituary of Richard T. Sheehan
Richard T. Sheehan, son of William and Margaret Sheehan of Hazlet, passed away peacefully at Bayshore Community Hospital on Monday, May 25th, 2015 at the age of 68. Richard was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather who lived his life passionately as a true craftsman in every sense of the word. After an honorable discharge from the U.S Army, Richard was a lifelong member of Carpenters Union #254 from apprenticeship through retirement. Richard was always eager to share the joy and beauty that he found in all places, especially on the golf course, in the garden, in the kitchen, and in helping with Cub Scouts Pack #47. Richard dedicated his entire life to his family. He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn, his son Daniel and his wife Eileen, daughters Kelly Sheehan O'Meila and her husband Brendan, and Tara Sheehan Lotlikar and her husband Kris, and by his grandchildren Gavin Thomas O'Melia, Quinlan Richard O'Melia, Kieran Lotlikar and Scarlet Lotlikar. Visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home – 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel NJ on Friday May 30th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Maple Place, Keyport, NJ on Saturday May 30 starting at 9:15 A.M. Interment will then follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, in Hazlet, NJ at 10:30 A.M. The Sheehan family would like to thank everyone in their families, extended families and our friends and neighbors for the tremendous outpouring of respect, admiration, fond memories and love for Richard.
