Obituary of Anne Joan Nolan
Anne 'Joan' Nolan, passed away Friday, November 20th at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Nolan was born in Brooklyn and moved to Aberdeen 49 years ago. She graduated from St. Angela Hall, Brooklyn and Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY. Mrs. Nolan was a parishioner of St. Benedict's R.C. Church, Holmdel. She was a CCD teacher, an Eucharistic Minister and a member of the 9 O'Clockers. Mrs. Nolan enjoyed cooking but most of all loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. For many years, she volunteered at a local nursing home. Mrs. Nolan was known for her sharp wit and ability to make others laugh. Mrs. Nolan was predeceased by her parents, John and Florence Murray Larney, her brother John Larney, Jr. and her sister Jeanne Larney. Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Stephen F. Nolan; son, Stephen, Jr.; four daughters and their husbands, Cindy Stanfield & her husband, Ron, Sue Guerriero & her husband Tom, Ellen Gray & her husband William and Lisa Javier & her husband Dwayne; her grandchildren, Justin & Eric Stanfield, Matthew & Jenny Guerriero, Erin & Dylan Gray and Julia, Aidan & Kamryn Javier, her sister Mary Gorman and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Visitation Monday November 23rd 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday November 24th 10:30 am at St. Benedict's R.C. Church, Holmdel. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro.
