Matilda 'Mattie' Cavallaro 83, of Colts Neck passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold. Born in Italy, Mattie lived in North Caldwell prior to moving to Colts Neck 20 years ago. Mrs. Cavallaro was a homemaker and parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Colts Neck. Mattie was a loving and beloved wife, mom, and grandmother. She was predeceased by her sister Carmela Minetti. Surviving are her husband of 61 years Salvatore Cavallaro, three sons, Michael and his wife Jen, Robert and his wife Ann, and Richard and his wife Susan, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday 9:00AM at ST. Mary's R.C. Church 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Entombment will be in the Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel.
