Xinqian Li of Hazlet, NJ passed away at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel NJ, on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the age of 87. Xinqian was born and raised in Nanyang, Henan Province of China. As a high school student during world war II, he followed his school travelling China's interior provinces and studied under constant threat of Japanese invasion forces. After the war, he supported himself through a university education in Fudan University in Shanghai. He spent his entire carrier in electronics industry as an engineer. He was a founding member of a prominent electronics research institute located in Sichuan province. After retirement, Xinqian moved to Hazlet, NJ to be close to his daughter and her family. Xinqiang loved learning and sharing. Before entering into Bayshore Hospital, he was still taking daily English lessons. Exercising his math puzzles with grandkids was favored pass time for him. Xinqian is survived by his beloved wife Tianxia, his daughter Susan and her husband Luke. He was the grandfather of Jarrett and Blain. Also survived by a brother and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held in Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road Holmdel, NJ 07733 on Sunday, Jan. 18th, from 4-6 PM.
