Obituary of Panayota Loukakos
Mrs. Panayota Loukakos (nee Tzavelakos), 80, passed away at home on Thursday, October 23, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Athens, Greece. Mrs. Loukakos was a former Secretary at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, in Brooklyn, New York. She was predeceased by her husband Stavros Loukakos in 1999. She is survived by her son Spyros Loukakos of South Amboy, daughters Penny Loukakos of Williamsburg, VA, Nausica Orthodoxou and her husband Chris of Millstone Township, Roxane Papagiannopoulos and her husband Ted of Eldersburg, MD; her brother Andreas Tzavelakos and his wife Aliki, her sisters Evangelia Georgopoulos and her husband Vasili, and Stella Georgakopoulos and her husband George, all of Athens, Greece; and her grandchildren George Alexander Orthodoxou and Christina Stevie Orthodoxou. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 26th from 3:00P.M. until 7:00P.M. at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 – South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, N.J. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Monday, at 9:30A.M. at Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 20 – Hillcrest Road, Holmdel, N.J. 07733. Interment to follow at Cloverleaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
