Obituary of JoLee O'Reilly

JoLee O'Reilly July 28, 1959 - June 11, 2014 JoLee O'Reilly (nee Eastmond), 54 of Cliffwood, New Jersey passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 following a courageous and exemplary battle with ovarian cancer. Her disease was diagnosed in January 2008, and she never gave up the fight to defeat it. JoLee was born in Red Bank, New Jersey to Harold (Butch) and Harriett Eastmond Jr. and resided with her parents and sisters LuAnn and Peggy Lynn in Keyport and Holmdel NJ until 1966, when the family relocated to Largo, Florida. Her family moved to St. Petersburg in Florida in 1968 and she graduated from North East Senior High School , St. Petersburg class of 1977. JoLee spent several years following graduation in Florida and attended St. Petersburg Junior College. In 1980, she relocated to Matawan, N.J. where she met her soul mate Joe, and they were married on July 17, 1982. They lived in Matawan until 1987 when they relocated to Cliffwood, N.J. and raised their children Colleen, Thomas (TJ), Michael and Quinn. JoLee was a former member of the Washington Engine Co. #1 Ladies Auxiliary in Matawan, and was involved in many activities throughout her childrens lives, as a cheerleading coach and active member of the PTA at St. Joseph's Grammer School in Keyport. She also worked with St. Joseph's CYO Baseball, and was an active member of St. Catherine's Athletic Program in Middletown where she coached cheerleading and helped her husband Joe. JoLee was an avid fan of the Somerset Patriots Independent baseball team.JoLee was employed by Tandem Management Company, Hackensack, N.J. as a Regional Billing Manager. She worked there until 2012. She had many friends and colleagues there in the long term health care industry. JoLee was an active church member of St. Catherine Laboure Church in Middletown. She was predeceased by her father Harold (Butch) Eastmond in 1978, and by her son Michael in 1989. She is survived by her husband of 32 years Joseph, her children Thomas (TJ) and his wife Lauren of Cliffwood N.J., Colleen Stipek and her husband Jim of Effort, PA., and Quinn of Cliffwood, N.J. by her mother Harriett Eastmond Hunt of Ocala, FL., her sisters and their husbands LuAnn and Tom Matthaey of Manchester, NJ, Peggy Lynn and Paul LeCompte of Manalapan, NJ, and by her grandchildren James, Kayley, and Emilynn Stipek of Effort, PA along with many family members and friends. It was JoLee's wish that a viewing take place at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel on Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. At JoLee and the family's request, there are to be no flowers sent, and in lieu of flowers if you would like to memorialize her that donations be made in her memory to St. Catherine Laboure Church or the St. Catherine's Columbus Society Scholarship fund, 130 – Bray Avenue, Middletown, N.J. 07748. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Catherine Laboure Church, 130 – Bray Avenue, Middletown N.J. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. , with Reverend Father Daniel Hesko officiating. A private cremation with then follow. A private family gathering of the Rite of Committal will take place at a later date at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet, N.J. where she will be laid to rest next to her son Michael and her father Harold (Butch) Eastmond. JoLee's final request is that for all women to be attentive to the changes in their bodies, and not to take feeling unhealthy lightly and to be examined by your doctor annually.
