Served - U.S. Army Air Corps - World War II Joseph L. Nichols, 89, formerly of Colts Neck, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in High Point, NC. Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by his infant daughter Irene; brothers Thomas, William, and John; and sisters Madeline and Mariah. He is survived by his loving wife Irene, of High Point, NC, daughter Joanne and husband William Spillane of Greensboro, NC, son Joseph T. Nichols of Greensboro; grandchildren Jennifer, Katherine, Sean and Joseph; his sister Genevieve O'Brien of Hicksville, NY, and by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26- South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ on Friday, August 21st from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, August 22nd, 2015 at 10:00A.M., at St. Marys R.C. Church, 1 – Phalanx Road, Colts Neck, NJ., with Fr. William Bausch officiating. Entombment with then follow at St. Gabriel Cemetery Mausoleum, Marlboro.
