Felice Marie Hettich, 85 of Lakewood, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Ocean Medical Center, in Brick. She was born in Alsace-Lorraine, France in 1926. She was raised in Newark, and moved to the shore area in 1948. She worked as a sales person for Hahne & Company, as well as in the restaurant business. Surviving is her husband of 59 years, Elmer A. Hettich; her brother Jack and his wife Florence Schlaflin of Sea Girt; her brother Ernest and his wife Barbara Schaflin of Lincroft; and several nieces and nephews. Felice was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Olga Schlaflin; her sister Florence and her husband Markham G. Smith. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Friday, March 16, 2012, 9:00 a.m., at St. Mary's Parish, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck, New Jersey 07722. Burial will be in the Holmdel Cemetery, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel.
