Obituary of Mandy Mae Garland
Mandy Mae Garland, of Holmdel and Red Bank, NJ was born January 11, 1916 to Mamie Cooper Price and Phillip Price in Randolph County, Ga. Mandy lived in Macon, Ga when she married John Garland in 1936. She was employed by the Scripto Co and the Bibb Home in Macon. After a marriage that lasted sixty-eight years, she was predeceased by her husband John T. Garland, Sr and her son John T Garland, Jr. and four brothers, Nathan, Thomas, Albert and Ernest Price of Atlanta, Ga. After the war the family moved to NJ where they were employed over fifty years by Abraham Rachlin and Edgar Rachlin at Hop Brook Farm, Holmdel, NJ. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Claire Garland, Lincroft, her grandson, Dr. Todd Garland, Lincroft, his wife Martina Garland and granddaughter Amanda Garland, and grandson, Kris Garland, NYC, her sister-in-law Grace Davis, Eatontown, her godchildren Alexander Neubauer, Cornwall, Ct and Joshua Neubauer, Marina Del Ray, Cal, and many nieces and nephews and friends. Mandy was a kind, loving and considerate person to all she met. Mandy loved animals at the farm, nursed an injured hawk back to health and cared for an orphaned baby lamb. She enjoyed traveling to Jerusalem, Mediterranean cities, Nice, the Bahamas and many other places in the US. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A funeral serive will be offered in the funeral home on Saturday at 2:00PM.
