Obituary of Matteo V. Mosca
Matteo V. Mosca, 89, of Fair Haven passed away at home on Thursday morning, November 29, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Matty lived in Bay Ridge, prior to moving to New Jersey 29 years ago. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Upon discharge from the Army, he worked on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, where he was a member for over 50 years. Matty was a parishioner of The Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven for many years. He was an avid golfer. He was a thoroughbred horse owner and breeder. Matty was a member of The Buttonwood Club, Columbus Club Citizen's Foundation, & Bamm Hollow Golf Course. He was predeceased by his parents and loving daughter Heller Jo Mosca. He is survived by his wife Liz of 16 years, and his daughters Marie, Eileen, Carol, Abby, Maggy, Mattea, son, Matthew, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11 to 1 at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. In lieu of sending flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund, P.O. Box 95 Mendham, NJ 07945-0095 in Matty's memory.
