Carol, I just learned of Milt's passing. I am so sorry for all of you. Some of my fondest memories revolve around the Martini family and our time together on Hillandale Ave. Milt had a way of making everyone feel good about life. He had that wonderful laugh, along with a great sense of humor which I enjoyed so very much. He was a true friend - I missed him long before he passed on. Carol, I'm so sorry to hear of Milton's passing , a fellow "Koppel Guy ". I don't think there is one person that I haven't told the story of how I finally got to see Milton in NJ, not knowing that he only lived a few miles from my home. After working with Bob in NYC for a couple of years , one day in a passing conversation we realized that we were from Koppel. Suddenly, we were two little kids calling everyone, even Milton. As I sit here sadly reflecting on Milton's passing, I can't help but smile thinking of our chance meeting in NJ and fond memories of Koppel. Love, Steve Grinnell "Brooklyn "

My mom told me last night about Mr. Martini's passing. My wife's immediate reaction was wouldn't my Dad be so happy now in heaven to have Milt. Mrs. Martini, Bobby, and Robin our condolences on your loss. Mr. Martini was one of the great ones - the kind of guy as I have grown into a father and neighbor that you rarely, if ever, find anymore. Those times on Hillandale Ave. were so special for us. I have such fond memories of them -as does my mom. Remember our week on Cape Cod, I can picture Mr.'s taking me down to the ocean at dusk and sitting in the water together with the warm waves treating us like we were in an enormous hot tub and telling me that was something he had done whenever he went to the beach in the past. I found peace and comfort in my faith when my Dad passed earlier in the year knowing that he had competed well and finished the race (2 Timothy 4 6-8) and that eternal life was his reward. I hope that you all can find such hope and comfort also. Love, John
