Obituary of Trevlin W. Blackman
Trevlin W. Blackman was born on August 6th 1959 on the sunny island of Trinidad. Trevlin was also known to family and friends as Trev. Trev came to the United States in 1975 at the age of 15 by way of New York. He attended Brooklyn Polytechnic University, where he attained his bachelors and masters in mechanical engineering. Upon graduating he was hired at AT&T Bell Labs in Holmdel NJ which heralded his outstanding career. The friendships made over the years were countless and are still intact today. After a long career at AT&T Bell Labs/Lucent Technologies, Trev found his way to AASKI Technology. He continued his attitude of people first, solution oriented mentality. Trev invested in people because he knew they are our greatest asset. He worked tirelessly to solve and keep the team together. The last two years challenged Trev physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Throughout his journey he remained hopeful of the future. He never lost sight of the real prize. He remained strong in spirit even as his body failed. His motto was 'Everything will be alright in the end, If it is not alright, then it is not the end.' He departed his physical body peacefully on September 2nd 2015, with his family at his side. Trevlin was the husband of Donna Blackman, the Father of Randall and Janelle Blackman, the son of Hilaria Grant, the Brother of Susan Blackman and Shelley Johnson, and Uncle to Teresa and Melissa Johnson. He will be missed by all. His legacy will live on through his family and friends.
