Charles Montsko, 74, of Middletown passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at Jersey Shore Center in Eatontown. Charlie heroically endured many years living with Multiple Sclerosis and succumbed to complications from this disease with his family by his side. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. Charlie will be loved, deeply missed and always remembered by Marilyn, his wife of 44 years, his sons Michael and his wife Kathy Montsko of Middletown, and John and his wife Mary and their son Nicholas Montsko of Odessa, Florida, nieces and nephews and devoted sister-in-law, Alberta and her husband Patrick Marino of Middletown. Charlie served in the U.S. Navy aboard the DDE Norris. He received a BS from Monmouth University in Computer Science. He was a Systems Program Manager at IBM and later worked at Nomura Securities Company. Marilyn Montsko and family extend their heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation for the loving care and support of the nurses, aides and staff of the Jersey Shore Center, especially the Seashore Unit and Grace Hospice. A private gathering of the immediate family to celebrate Charlie's life will be held at a later date.
