Obituary of Anthony Carnevale
Anthony (Tony) Carnevale, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend entered into his eternal rest on July 4, 2011.He was born on April 8, l929 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Peter and Virginia (Favazza) Carnevale. Tony graduated from New Utrecht High School, and received a degree in Chemical Engineering from New York University in 1953, and an MBA from Rutgers University in 1973. He was a licensed Professional Engineer in N.Y. and N.J. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1955. Tony was a Project Manager for Wallerstein Company on Staten Island, for Enzyme Development Corporation in Keyport N.J. and Bristol Meyers Squibb in New Brunswick and Lawrenceville, from which he retired in 1999. Tony was a communicant of St.Mary's Church, Colts Neck, where he served as an usher for 20 years. Tony is survived by his loving wife and companion of 43 years, Diane (DeBiase) Carnevale. His three daughters and their spouses: Lynn and Shannon Gilreath, Huntingtown MD; Jill and Tom Kane, East Windsor, NJ; and Susan and Raymond Fornicola, Norfolk VA. Tony is also survived by his sister Dr. Norina Carnevale and her husband Dr. Guy Suarez of Brielle, NJ, a neice, Angelique Suarez, of Maimi, FL. and a nephew Guy Suarez, of Wall NJ. Many things brought Tony joy and happiness in his life, good friends, good food, including home made pasta, trips to Atlantic City, Yankee baseball, golf and photograhy, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his five grandchildren; Claire and William Gilreath, Sean and Jack Kane, and Robert Fornicola. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday 9:00AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Colts Neck. Interment will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro.
