Obituary of Anita Adelfio
Mrs. Anita Adelfio, 85, of Marlboro, died on march 5, 2011 peacefully in her sleep at her daughters home. She was born in Zeri, Italy and moved to Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1929. She lived in Old Bridge and South River before moving to Marlboro in 2004. She was a member of St. Gabriels Church in Marlboro. Prior to that she was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Old Bridge, and St. Stevens Church in South River. She was the loving wife of Salvatore (Sal) Adelfio, who passed away in 2007. She is survived by two sisters Irene Radioli of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Inez Valentini of Manhasset, N.Y., and by her six children and their spouses Steve and Pat Adelfio, Donna and Robb McQuade, Sal Adelfio, Mary and Joe Rizzo, Joe and Karen Adelfio, and Mike and Charlotte Adelfio – all live in central N.J., and by twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel NJ on Monday march 7th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Catharines R.C.Church 108- Middletown Road, Holmdel. Interment will then follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery in Marlboro.
