Obituary of Eugene J. Cattani
Eugene Cattani went to his eternal rest on Monday May 18, 2009. Born in Brooklyn, NY he moved to Aberdeen, NJ in 1963. His strong, quiet, gentle spirit touched many lives. Gene was a family man who loved being with his wife of 50 years, his children and most of all his grandchildren. Gene graduated from RCA Institute, New York City as a recording engineer. He worked for RCA Victor Records, New York, NY for more than 40 years, first as a recording engineer then as Studio Manager. He was a lifetime member of the South Aberdeen First Aid Squad and a Charter Member of the New Jersey Coast Sports Fliers. He loved building and flying radio controlled planes. He was an active communicant of St. Benedict's Church, Holmdel and a member of the 9 O'Clockers. He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Caroline, 2 daughters, Mary Stains and her husband John, of Aberdeen and Katherine Cattani o Mtawan, 1 son Eugene Cattani and his wife Nancy, of Manasquan, and four granddaughters, Kelly, Emma, Christina and Meghan.
