Sue (Assunta) Bavaschi, 89 of Toms River passed away Monday March 29, 2010 at the Riverview Medical Center. Sue was born in Brooklyn, NY and came from a large family of 6 sisters and 3 brothers. She spent most of her life in Brooklyn surrounded by a loving family and many friends. She moved to Lake Ridge in Toms River 15 years ago and was active in many community activities until illness prevented her from enjoying the many friends she developed there. She is survived by her husband, Ben, to whom she was married for 67 years and who watched over her through her entire life and took loving care of her during her long illness. She is also survived by two daughters, Catherine Mazzariello and Phyllis Mickelsen and her sons-in-law, Rick Mazzariello and Thomas Mickelsen. Sue had 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren all of whom will miss their Nana Susie.
