MODESTA THOMPSON, 82, of MIDDLETOWN passed away on Sunday, June 21st at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Born in New York City, Mrs. Thompson lived on Long Island before moving to Middletown in 1994. Prior to her retirement, she was a bookkeeper for 25 years at the law firm of Simpson, Thatcher and Bartlett in New York City. She was a communicant of St. Catharine's R.C. Church in Holmdel, and was a member of the Renew Group at Church. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Louis Marinaro, and a sister Nancy Palazzolo. She is survived by her husband Theodore C. Thompson, a brother in law John Thompson and his wife Olga, two sisters in law Sarina Marinaro and Doris Sanford, and numerous Nieces, and Nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her dearly.
