Obituary of James R. Guilbert

James R. Guilbert, 51 of Morganville, NJ died Saturday January 2, 2010 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He spent his entire career as an educator serving as a teacher, and adjunct professor at various schools in New York and New Jersey, including many years as Dean of Student Life at St. John's University, Staten Island Campus. Jim was born in Jersey City, graduated from St. Peter's Prep, Jersey City, Seton Hall University and was awarded a Masters Degree in Education from Columbia University. Jim was an avid NY Mets and Giants fan who will be remembered by his friends and family as a generous man with a quick wit who enjoyed time spent with family and friends Mr. Guilbert was predeceased by his father James Guilbert. Surviving are his wife, Mary Beth Guilbert (nee O'Toole), son, James Guilbert, daughter, Megan Guilbert, mother, Veronica Guilbert, uncle, Gene Halligan, aunt, Kathleen Dallas, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
